Abstract: CanMedical Service Accounts (MSAs) help reduce the soaring costs of U.S. healthcare? Dr. Brown thinks that's possible and preferable by replacing government insurance for outpatient care with a self-managed debit card plan. Speaker Profile: Dr. Merlin Brown, a native of Tennessee, was reared on a small Wisconsin farm. He graduated from Loma Linda (CA) University School of Medicine in 1990. He is currently in practice in an Edina clinic. His outside interests include building apartments and condominiums, developing homes for the mentally challenged in Wisconsin, and world travel.
Charla L. Sheffield earned her B.A. in organizational management and human relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University, her MBA in marketing from the University of Phoenix, and an executive certification in negotiation from the University of Notre Dame. Once with General Mills, she is currently a vice president of marketing for a top business-to-business media company.
